We spent the last few days in the Monterey/Carmel area. We went to Fisherman’s Wharf, went whale watching, drove the 17-mile drive, and got foot massages. Thank you Rebecca & Moses for this trip! I took quite a few photos.

I’ve spent the last 2 weeks working for a new company in Rocklin. I’ve learned a lot so far. This is the first time in my professional career that I’ve worked with another developer. It’s been a very humbling 2 weeks. Before taking this job we had a mini-vacation planned. We are going to Monterey …
This last week we went to Dunsmuir and Reno. This week I’m at home working away while Beth gets to attend a College World Series game on the behave of Union Pacific in Omaha. Below are some pics from our trip last week.
While Elizabeth was working hard all day long. I did what ever other tourist in San Francisco does, went to the Golden Gate Bridge.
The last few days have been a blast. We took the pups to a dog park before packing up. We are headed to San Francisco, then off to Omaha. This will be a 2 week trip. Today, I’ve been working remotely at random coffee shops in San Francisco. I also stopped by “Automatic” a web …

We did end up getting a new camera! Here are some photos from Oregon (Portland and Eugene) and Mt. Shasta. In Oregon, we got to visit an old friend, Amos Lanka. I also had the chance to meet some fellow developers that I connect with online from the Concrete5 community. Until now, I haven’t had …
The last weekend was a longer one because of Presidents Day. We had that day off and decided to spend it with family in The City. I personally enjoy SF because of all the technology. We had a fun time at Union Square and a section called “Hays”. Then we went to “China Town” for …
I haven’t lived in any state other than Nebraska. I’ve loved Nebraska and enjoyed growing up here. I feel like it’s the people that make Nebraska a great place to live. Elizabeth and I decided we are moving to California on January 1st 2013. It will be a new chapter in our lives. We both …
The other day, Elizabeth and I went to Sacramento to visit. After traveling all day and using our cell phones, we were both almost out of battery. We stop to grab a bite to eat after sun down when my sister-in-law, Rebecca thought it’d be a good idea for us to charge our phones while …
We just got back to “The Good Life” from our trip to San Francisco. We had a good time. This was my first experience in California. I’ll start by saying, I think my favorite part was the weather. We wore jeans and hoodies the majority of the time. It wasn’t too cold at all. We …
I haven’t traveled much in my life time. The furthest I’ve been away from home was going to Jamaica for our honeymoon. My sister-in-law moved to San Francisco a couple of years ago and fell in love with the city. I’m getting the opportunity to visit there for her wedding this September. We will be …
The first day of Spring was 2 days ago. I’m shocked at how calm our winter was. I heard a guy on the radio say “because we had such a mild winter our storm season will be intense”. I don’t mind having a fun thunderstorm season. I enjoy sitting by a window with a cup …
We went to my co-worker, Kate’s place for our super bowl party this year. We all had a great time with good company and good food! Below are some pics from the event
At our house, we have a few Christmas traditions that we do every year. Below is a list of December festivities that keep us in the spirit of Christmas the entire month of December. 1. Give gifts – Elizabeth and I give each other 1 gift every weekend until Christmas gets here. We save the …
As my time at Turnpost comes to an end, I feel almost the same way I did when graduating from college. The times were good and I’m glad I had them. It’s time now, to start a new adventure. I want to say thank you to all of my co-workers and bosses. You guys have …
