2018 has been a pretty good year, I have no complaints. It’s been mostly a year that has consisted of work which isn’t ideal but, I’m grateful to have a steady job. I just took a second to look at my vacation time this morning to see that I’m currently maxed out. Wednesday, I’ll take a half of a day off to knock that down some. I’m trying to save my hours for family and a trip in 2019.

Here are my 2019 New Year’s Resolution’s

  1. Eat Healthier – I ran and walked a good amount this year. I want to keep that up but, also really focus on eating healthier. I’m hoping to start by cutting back on sweets & snacks. I hope to also make breakfast at home every morning. (see #2)
  2. Wake up earlier – I want to start waking up at 5 A.M. everyday. I’d like to get a walk or run in and also make some breakfast before going into work. This will cut back my Starbucks breakfasts that tend to be sugar heavy without much nutrients.
  3. Be a good / understanding parent – We are approved and have almost completed the process to start fostering. I think in early 2019 we will get the opportunity to foster some kids. I’m both nervous and excited about this part of my life. This will be a big part of 2019 for us.
  4. Play drums – I started playing drums for Bayside in 2018. This slowed down when we got busy at the end of the year. I hope to play more weekends in 2019.
